The bus...Nancy,

Is it no GREAT to have those days?! The business is not at all as romantic as many people think, lots of schlepping, dealing with less than cool people, hearing "no" all the time...gets old and while we still have great wine to drink it can be pretty rough at times. Those wicked cool winemaker visits and dinners when we are lucky....well, even that can be trying, (cough) Yves (cough) can do so much to remind us why we love this business.

The shared love of this one thing, well...that and food, seems to make us all instant friends and gives us an unlimited number of things to talk about, especially for us on the imported wine side. Sprinkle a little wine on top of that and we are all bff's by the end of the night!

So glad you had a great night and I can't wait to hear about your dinner at CUT!!!Samantha Duganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05214278596698698245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7039015367701651107.post-55501494719341070222009-03-21T18:31:00.000-07:002009-03-21T18:31:00.000-07:00Reminds me of Kelly Clarkson's new song - "My Life...Reminds me of Kelly Clarkson's new song - "My Life Would Suck Without...Wine"
I'm happy to read that you had a very good day :)Noel DLPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10240564586575547579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7039015367701651107.post-78638194900346416652009-03-20T16:50:00.000-07:002009-03-20T16:50:00.000-07:00If you ever have a chance to do an Oregon wine tou...If you ever have a chance to do an Oregon wine tour, the area around Eugene is a great place to start. There are several really nice places to visit, and the scenery is breathtaking. King Estate should be first on your list, facilities here are as good as any in Napa. I also recommend Pfeiffer Vineyards, a friendly little place with outstanding Pinots (my favorite), and Noble Estate, another out of the way winery where the winemaker himself greets you and answers your questions.

If you don't want to drive yourself, Sunshine Limo Service and Wine Tours is a good choice for a guided tour. They have knowledgeable staff who do a good job of setting up a nice tour and delivering a quality experience.pinotchiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03520587596544646631noreply@blogger.com
